Stephen Dyer is the founder and Managing Director of Ideal Property, a specialist home search agency based in London and the Home Counties. The company carried out its first home search in 1998. Stephen has over 25 years of estate agency and home finding experience, negotiating the sale and purchase of literally thousands of properties of every description. He says “The buyer is always at a disadvantage in any property bidding process as they are the one who don’t have to be kept fully informed.
In many cases a buyer's inexperience and a lack of awareness of what is actually happening behind the scenes between the seller and the estate agent can lead to opportunities being missed. This inevitably leads to justified anger and recrimination. The system was not and still is not balanced. Buyers often over-bid and still not succeed simply because they aren't aware it isn’t always about money. Ideal Property's interest is in turning the tables in favour of the buyer.
