Maidstone, KentWe had the misfortune of dealing with Hatch Batten when renting out our house. We signed an agency agreement for a tenant-find service. Part of this agreement was to collect the first-month rent together with the security deposit. Hatch Batten accepted a screenshot on the tenant phone as proof of funds transferred and handed over the keys. The funds never arrived despite assurances from Llyod at Hatch Batten that things would work out. After 5 weeks with no rent the tenant moved out voluntarily but with no forwarding address, we cannot pursue him for monies owed. Hatch Batten acted in an unprofessional and negligent manner in handing over the keys without proper verification of payment. Hatch Batten has accepted no responsibility for this and has left us with no option but to take Hatch Batten to the property ombudsman.
